Ryan McKenna commissioned ULR to develop a permanent installation for his new Northwest Mutual branch office located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. McKenna wanted a data-activated piece that would act as the centerpiece of the two-story lobby and relay information relevant to Northwest Mutual and their clients.
Each morning, the custom software pulls down the previous day's stock index and regional real estate numbers. The visualization program uses this data to create live, dynamically-drawn visuals that sit on the line between abstraction and legibility. Content is then projection-mapped onto the bespoke wood and MDF projection surface, fabricated by Standard & Custom.
